The Dinosaur period has always been a hugely fascinating topic of history for many across the world as it can be rather unbelievable to know that there were creatures larger than life that were once roaming the very world that we all currently live on.

Play n’ Go’s Raging Rex slot game looks to take players back around 66 million years ago and provide a theme in which we are able to spin the reels amongst the dinosaurs. Our Raging Rex review will give players an insight into this title from the Swedish game developers and will highlight all the important details, such as the bonus features and the return to player rate (RTP) that has been set.

Gameplay

The first part of our Raging Rex game review is to take a look at the gameplay of the Play n’ Go title and provide a brief outlook on what players can expect. Indeed, the game is played on six reels across four rows and provides players with the chance of winning 4,096 different ways.

Available across a number of multiple devices, such as smartphones and laptops, Raging Rex is available to spin for as little as 0.20¢, although the high-rollers of the world can look to win big by betting $100 per spin. There is also a ‘Autoplay’ function available on the game panel across the bottom of the screen, which automatically spins the reels for the player.

With the dinosaur theme the main aspect of the game, it should not be a surprise that Play n’ Go have used a number of creatures from the prehistoric era. The six fossilized insects and creatures – mosquito, spider, beetle, scorpion, dragon-fly and a lizard – are the low-value symbols, whereas the four dinosaurs – the Velociraptor, the Dilophosaurus, the Triceratops, and the Parasaurolophus – are amongst the highest icons available on the reels.

The T-Rex – because a dinosaur game is not a dinosaur game without the king – is the wild, whereas the meteor is the scatter symbol, as many believe this to be the reason as to why the dinosaurs no longer exist.

Feature Bonuses

The T-Rex wild symbol comes alive in the first Raging Rex bonus feature our review found, as when he lands in a full stack on any of the reels from two to six, he triggers the Rampage Re-spins feature.

During this feature, he will move one reel to the left at a time, therefore creating more opportunities to win. Rewards won during this feature will be paid out at the end of the feature.

Raging Spins is the best feature bonus in the Raging Rex slot game, though, as it will reward players with between 8 to 30 free spins when three or more scatters are landed in the base game. More free spins can be won in the feature game, with the scatters playing the same role once again.

Play’n Go offers two free spin options for its Raging Rex slot, called prehistoric Giga feature. These are called Wild Hunt and Primal Rage.

In Wild Hunt, T-Rex Wilds are only displayed as a single symbol, but a x2 or x3 multiplier is randomly attached. In free spins, more than one wild will combine the multipliers together. If there is one on all reels from 2 to 6, it is possible to get a success multiplier of up to x243.

In Primal Rage, before the free spin starts, a fully stacked T-Rex Wild is added to a random reel, except for reel one. He will stay on the screen throughout the feature and will move to a new reel every free spin. Sometimes, he will stay on the same reel. In the free spin round, only one fully stacked T-Rex wild will appear on the screen.

RTP (return to player)

Although there is a Raging Rex Free Play demo available to players who do not want to part with real money to begin with, this Play n’ Go slot game has a respectable return to player rate (RTP) of 96.34%
