Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams is a professional American football team that is a member of the incredibly tough NFC West Divsion and is continually thought of as one of the best teams within the entire NFL. Take a look at this dedicated team page and learn all about this California-based side.

Background

The Los Angeles Rams currently play their home games in Inglewood, California, as they share the state-of-the-art stadium with the Los Angeles Chargers. The Los Angeles Rams stadium is called SoFi Stadium.

The team, which is owned by Stan Kroenke and coached by Sean McVay as of up to the 2021 NFL Season, competes as a member of the NFC West Division, with the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks, thus making it one of the hardest divisions within the entire National Football League.

The team’s colors are predominantly blue and gold, although the Los Angeles Rams jersey colors have been known to be white and gold, as well.

History

Just like many of the other franchises to currently be in the NFL, the Los Angeles Rams is a team that has been located in a number of different regions over the course of its history. Initially founded in 1936, the team was initially located in Cleveland, Ohio, and known as the Cleveland Rams before moving down to Los Angeles (and becoming the Los Angeles Rams) in 1946.

However, the franchise was moved once again in 1995 as it was relocated and taken to St. Louis, Missouri, becoming the St. Louis Rams for a period of two decades. As we know, the team decided to head back to Los Angeles in 2015 and become the Los Angeles Rams once again.

Honors

As to be expected for a team of the Los Angeles Rams’ stature, it is hardly a surprise to learn that the team has managed to achieve a lot since they were established.

The Rams managed to appear in Super Bowl XIV in the 1979 NFL season (although in a losing effort), before winning the Super Bowl in 1999 – the only major title of the team’s history as of the 2020 NFL season. They did reach the 2001 and 2018 Super Bowls but lost both times to the New England Patriots.

As of the 2020 NFL season, the team has won three NFL championships, and is the only NFL franchise to win championships representing three cities (Cleveland in 1945, Los Angeles in 1951, and St. Louis in 1999).

Los Angeles Rams Players

The Los Angeles Rams roster has been stacked with talent throughout the team’s storied existence, with a number of talented Los Angeles Rams players having gone on to become inducted into the NFL’s Hall of Fame.

Individuals such as Deacon Jones, former Los Angeles Rams quarterback Kurt Warner, Eric Dickerson and Merlin Olsen are just some of the exceptional men to have earned that status. However, with the Los Angeles Rams depth chart being as strong as it is, men such as Aaron Donald will have to be considered icons of the franchise in the near future.

Summary

The Los Angeles Rams are one of the very best franchises in the NFL and one that should be watched closely each and every season that takes place. With the number of exceptional Los Angeles Rams players available, this team can challenge for the Super Bowl each season.
